The Public Works Department has asked for all residents, visitors and guests to steer clear of downed trees, power/cable lines and work areas where Town Staff and Duke Energy Staff are currently working. Please be aware that there are downed power lines and cable lines all over Montreat. The lines could be in driveways, yards, main roads and side roads. Please do not under any circumstances touch or attempt to move these lines because they could still be live and could cause serious injury.
