Montreat Minute for October 12th

Mayor’s Summary of October 11th Towm Commission Meeting
Greetings friends,
I hope you have stayed dry during Hurricane/Tropical Storm Michael. I was looking over the summary from last month’s Council meeting and noted there was a lot of discussion about the upcoming Hurricane Florence. In less than a month, we’ve had two hurricanes, and three since May. We will dry out some day. We were thankful for the hearty crowd who came out for the meeting.
Here are the highlights of the meeting: Please Click Here to read more
Don’t Miss the Town Hall Public Input Session
Plan to come Monday, October 15, at 4:30 in the Walkup Building to offer your thoughts about what the new Town Hall should look like. This is a listening session by the Town Hall working committee as well as the architect and contractor. You will have the opportunity to provide your ideas, brainstorm with other attendees and help shape the design of the new Town Hall. Read more and obtain other resources by clicking here.
Watch the Town Hall Public Input Session Live!
If you can’t make it to the public input session, watch it live and send in your questions or comments. Go to the Town of Montreat Facebook page to watch it live and submit your ideas in the comments section.
But First, Take the Town Hall Survey
Click Here to take the Town Hall Survey to share your thoughts on the new Town Hall. Whether you’re coming tonight to the Town Hall Public Input Session or you’re not able to attend, give us your ideas through the Town Hall Design Survey. This is especially important for property owners who are out of town or not able to make it to the Monday meeting.
Welcome Back, Angie!
We’re delighted to have Town Clerk Angie Murphy back from a personal leave. She’s back at her desk/phone with her usual smile and cheerful manner. Welcome her back if you see her.
