MEETING NOTICE

Thursday, October 22, 2026 – 5:00 p.m.

Board of Adjustment Meeting

Town Hall

The Board of Adjustment will hold a Regular Meeting on October 22, 2026, at 5:00 p.m. at Town Hall, 1210 Montreat Road, Montreat, NC. 

The purpose of the meeting is as follows:

  1. To hear a request to extend order granting a variance for 536 Calvin Trail
    1. To hear a Variance request to the Montreat Zoning Ordinance, Section 501.81 and 501.9 to reduce the side setback requirement from 15 feet to 10 feet on the southern side of 123 Mecklenburg Circle and the rear setback requirements from 35 feet to 30 feet on the western side of 123 Mecklenburg Circle, for the purpose of building a new single-family dwelling
    1. To hear a Variance request to the Montreat Zoning Ordinance, Section 501.81 to reduce the side setback requirement from 15 feet to 10 feet on the western and eastern side of 165 Texas Road Extension, for the purpose of building a new single-family dwelling.
    1. To rehear and review the Certificate of Zoning Compliance and variance requests for the lot addressed as 779 Foreman Siding Road. The variance requests are to the Montreat Zoning Ordinance, 503.5 and 503.81 to reduce the front setback requirement from 30 feet to 15 feet on the northern side of 779 Foreman Siding Road, and to reduce the side setback requirement from 15 feet to 13 feet on the western side of the Subject Property, for the purpose of constructing a single-family dwelling.
