NOTICE OF SPECIAL MEETING

Tuesday, September 10, 2024

10:00 a.m. Tree Board

Town Hall

The Montreat Tree Board will hold a Special Meeting on Tuesday, September 10, 2024, at 10:00 a.m. in Town Hall at 1210 Montreat Road Montreat, NC.  

The purpose of the meeting is as follows:

  • Modification of section 1 of the Tree Board Rules of Procedure to provide that the regular meeting of the Tree Board shall be held on the second Tuesday of each month at 10:00 a.m.
  • Consideration of written recommendations from Kayla DiCristina to the Tree Board on its duties and responsibilities under the Town’s Comprehensive Plan.
  • Report by Mason Blake on the Tree Board’s recommendation to the Town Council that it adopt an ordinance requiring consideration of the public benefits of trees, tree canopy and other environmental factors when deliberating on an application to vacate or abandon right-of-way.
