Police Chief Resigns      

Montreat Chief of Police, David Arrant, has resigned effective May 31, 2024. The Town is actively recruiting a replacement. We thank Chief Arrant for his years of service to Montreat.

Interim department leadership will be provided by Town Manager, Savannah Parrish. Shift coverage of our own officers will be supplemented by the Black Mountain Police Department. Thus, you may observe Black Mountain police vehicles occasionally patrolling our roads. We are grateful to Black Mountain for their assistance.
