Continuation Board of Adjustment Meeting Notice

CONTINUATION OF EVIDENTIARY HEARING NOTICE

Thursday, August 4, 2022 – 5:00 p.m.

The Montreat Board of Adjustment will hold a Continuation of Evidentiary Hearing on Thursday, August 4, 2022 at 5:00 p.m. or as soon as possible thereafter in the Town Hall, 1210 Montreat Road, Montreat, NC.

The purpose of this hearing is to consider an Appeal of a Determination made by the Montreat Zoning Administrator.  The Zoning Administrator determined that a 30’ vegetated buffer is not applicable to a section of Ephemeral Stream (i.e. wet weather conveyance –only) per State law and Montreat’s Stormwater Ordinance, Sec 305.  The Appellant counters that a 30’ vegetated buffer should be required along the stream centerline on the subject property (below).

The property is zoned R-3 Low-Density Residential and is further described as Lot 778, Montreat ETJ, PIN#072111773600000.
