COVID-19 Update- Governor Easing Restrictions
Earlier this week, Governor Cooper announced the easing of restrictions for North Carolinians, effective today, Friday March 26, at 5:00pm. The Executive order further eases restrictions on businesses and gatherings by increasing the mass gathering limit for indoor and outdoor gatherings, increasing the capacity limits for certain businesses, and lifting the restriction on alcohol sales for onsite consumption. While the Order eases certain restrictions, other public health restrictions remain in effect to continue to protect against the spread of the virus. What this means for Montreat is that we can start opening meeting to the public in person again – though with a very limited capacity. We can safely fit the first Eight members of the public to arrive in the Community Room. We will continue to broadcast the meeting via Zoom and will take public comment by email. We will also resume the Community Forum at 6:30.
