Is Your Yard Wildlife Certified?
Wildlife habitat gardens are a haven for local birds, butterflies, and other wildlife. Does your yard or garden provide habitat such as food, water, and protection for wildlife? If so, it’s probably eligible to be recognized as a Certified Wildlife Habitat® by the National Wildlife Federation. Did you know that the Town of Montreat is a certified Wildlife Habitat? Once certified, you can share your accomplishment and commitment to helping wildlife with your whole neighborhood by purchasing and posting an exclusive Certified Wildlife Habitat sign. As an incentive, the National Wildlife Federation is offering 20% off on all certification yard signs until June 30. To learn more about the certification process and the 20% off sale, CLICK HERE.
Phase II Tree Inventory
Just a reminder that we still need volunteers to help with the Phase II At-Risk Tree Inventory that will occur the weeks of June 3 and June 10. It’s and important task as we identify trees that are at-risk for falling down.
Caution: Men at Work
Finally, the weather has coorperated, allowing long scheduled road paving and repairs of four roads: Texas Road, Calvin Trail, Quillan Lane and Frist Road. Please use caution while driving because workers will be in and out of the roadways. Thank you for your patience!
Have a great weekend!
