Town Council Meeting, Thursday, November 8
Please come to the monthly Town Council meeting on Thursday, November 8, at 7:00pm in the Walkup Building. The Public Forum will precede the Council Meeting at 6:30pm. Your support is welcome and appreciated. You may find the Meeting Agenda on the website by Clicking Here.
Don’t Forget to Vote: Tuesday November 6
Don’t forget next Tuesday, November 6, is election day. Polls will be open from 6:30am to 7:30pm. Our voting location for Montreat residents is First Baptist Church, 130 Montreat Road, Black Mountain. CLICK HERE to see a sample ballot. We have the honor and obligation to participate in this important process.
Town Hall Update
Earlier this week, the Town Council acted to approve the contract between the Town and Sineath Construction for design and construction services for the new Town Hall. The next step in the process is for the architect, Maury Hurt, to develop an initial concept design based on the input received from us. He has been given the Oct. 15 public input session notes, the survey summary results, the Design Program and other related information.
